PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Over 50,000 sq.ft. WRAPSHIELD® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane was installed on the re-cladding of the Carriage House apartments in Yonkers, New York.

Carriage House building was a leaky non-descript building with little aesthetic value. The combination of brick and colored Trespa panels, plus updated waterproofing materials, including WRAPSHIELD® breathable water resistive membrane and battens, upgraded the entire block and made building owners proud of their dwelling.

Two large facades were re-cladded directly over the original, leaking brick. WRAPSHIELD® membrane was installed directly onto the original brick, creating a second line of defense against bulk water penetration, then structural aluminum channels were installed to anchor the Trespa panels. The combination created a rain screen design.
