CLT Construction In Action

WrapShield SA Self-Adhered WRB/Air Barrier membrane was installed on the largest CLT product currently in the U.S. The project is a 156,000 sq.ft. glulam post-and-beam with CLT decks, and a steel brace frame lateral restraint system.

WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was explicitly specified for the project due to its exceptionally high drying capacity. With the ability to successfully adhere in below freezing temperatures, WrapShield SA Self-Adhered easily accommodated the winter construction schedule.

The rough openings were flashed with over 20,000 lin. ft. Vapro-SS Flashing, VaproBond, and VaproFlashing SA Self-Adhered. Using VaproShield’s total solution-based approach with components designed and tested to work together, the risk of moisture-related damage was greatly reduced.

The Oregon headquarters of First Tech Credit Union will feature five stories of class-A office space. Sourced from authentic regional material in the Pacific Northwest, the CLT building is expected to be “part of the solution” of carbon sequestration.
