PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Over 30,000 sq. ft. of WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was installed on the Hyatt Place Hotel in Downtown Milwaukee. The job was complex and large-scale, posing several challenges that WrapShield SA Self-Adhered handled with ease.

Semi-recessed rough openings covered the structure and complicated flashing efforts, however; only two components were required to flash the building’s rough openings, drastically reducing labor and material costs—and saving valuable time in the process.

Additionally, the project was in a tight urban setting with heavy pedestrian traffic. Free of harmful VOCs and entirely self-adhering, contractors successfully installed WrapShield SA Self-Adhered without jeopardizing pedestrian and crew safety or damaging surrounding structures, the typical hazard that arises with liquid applied barriers and primers.

Mixed substrates and cladding types required an advanced building envelope solution. WrapShield SA Self-Adhered offered superior drying capacity under the building’s multiple façades and required no additional primer, labor, or tools. Innovative adhesive bonded directly to all the multiple substrate materials and allowed seamless one-pass installation.
