PROJECT DESCRIPTION
WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was installed on the Market District Commons, a 50-unit mixed-use development in Eugene’s historic “Market District” between downtown and the Willamette River.
The unique project aims to achieve the highest eco-conscious standards. WrapShield SA Self-Adhered was an ideal WRB/Air-barrier for the building, located in a tight, urban construction space. Entirely self-adhering, it did not require any toxic primer over the gypsum and plywood substrate, thereby protecting nearby pedestrians and walkers.
VaproLiqui-Flash and WrapFlashing SA Self-Adhered were also applied with VaproBond around the building’s abundant windows for a water-tight seal. Phase-construction friendly and ideal for projects with tight timelines, WrapShield SA Self-Adhered required less labor and installed quickly – saving developers time and money.
Once completed, Market Commons will serve veterans struggling to find good affordable housing and a downtown workforce, including employees of downtown’s burgeoning retail and restaurant core.
