PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Pike + Rose is a new neighborhood in the former Mid-Pike Plaza shopping center at Rockville Pike and Montrose Parkway in Rockville, MD. It will include 3.5 million square feet of apartments, office, shops, restaurants, entertainment venues and a hotel on 24 acres. The first phase, Mid Pike Block 10, a 20 story high-rise, broke ground this summer and features over 100,000 sq. ft. of WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane.
WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED was chosen because it can be installed in all types of weather, including below freezing temperatures. Manganaro had worked with WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED on two other major building projects in metro Washington D.C., Washington Gateway and Eleven55 Ripley. Both projects were installed in the winter months with unpredictable weather and Manganaro was confident WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED could be installed on Mid-Pike Block 10 without causing any major delays.
