PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Upon completion in 2022, the new, 310,000-square-foot Building Care project will include lab space, operating rooms, a pharmacy, patient rooms and space for the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
Self-adhered to the building without the need for primers, WrapShield SA® helps protect the delicate building envelope by reducing moisture intrusion, mold, mildew, and rot in the humid climate of Washington.
The rough openings are additionally secured with liquid applied, breathable waterproof flashing in the form of VaproLiqui-Flash, so that the vulnerable fenestrations are protected from the elements.
VaproShims were used to hold the Z purlins ¼” off of the wall. This provides for moisture drainage and a seal for the TEK point fasteners that attach the Z purlin to the structural wall members.
