PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Inner City Christian Federation partnered with Rockford Construction to ensure that the West Side of Grand Rapids would have access to affordable living spaces within the heart of the community. Stockbridge Apartments broke ground in late 2018 and features 80,000 sq. ft. of WrapShield SA Self-Adhered and Vapro-SS Flashing.

Rockford Construction picked WrapShield SA for its speed of application and self-cinching ability around penetrations. The complex project required two different installers, with WrapShield SA applied in two separate sections. Additionally, the application went through a fire rated assembly that required a highly permeable membrane and panel.

Stockbridge will feature 64 apartments when completed, including 51 multifamily units dedicated to income-qualified community members. The five-story building, which will aim for LEED Silver certification, will also include ground-floor commercial space.
